GO TO: www.andrewwasson.com Welcome to a new series here on Creative Guitar Studio's YouTube Channel. What we're going to do is cover a complete breakdown of a "Typical Jazz Tune." So, I've written a piece for this series called, "Jazz Fever." What we are going to do in this segment is cover the guitar's role for; melody and harmony. I discuss; how to read the notation; deciphering the areas of the neck to perform the chords found in the piece; and I give a few tips to keep in mind when playing lead over common changes like those found in our example tune "Jazz Fever." In part 3, we'll discuss the bass guitars role in performing over this typical jazz standard. And, in part 4 drummer and fellow YouTuber Aaron Edgar will be adding a percussion video lesson covering what you need to know about performing the percussion role over this piece. The complete lesson article for this video will be available on the Creative Guitar Studio website shortly.
