www.tonydickinson.net Mike Lepond says "excellent job on the song !!" This is my first Youtube cover video. It's "Domination" by Symphony X off of the album Paradise Lost. Since a bunch of you have been asking about tabs, here is a bass transcription which I found, and then corrected and completed so it was correct: www.tonydickinson.net The intro riff's triplets in the song has a hammer and slide, which is wrong, as it is all hammered. I transcribed it for my 6-string, Mike Lepond uses a 4-string, so it's entirely possible on a 4-string, so those of you 4-stringers just need to move the unplayable notes to the next strings. I did hit a few sour notes, and bullshitted a couple parts when I couldn't remember what the exact notes were. A few sections are still a little rough, but this is the best I can do in a full beginning-to-end take. I recorded the video by hooking up my DV Camera to my computer and recording the video straight to disk, and I recorded the audio with my Line 6 POD X3 Live. I then stripped the audio from the video file and put the audio mixdown into the video. It appears that the little text box in the lower left is too blurry. Everclear is a rock band formed in Portland, Oregon, USA, in 1992. With their diverse influences in traditional Manding songs, African pop, Cuban jazz, soul and rock, Les Ambassadeurs helped establish some of the brightest future talents of the Malian music scene. When political unrest forced them to leave Mali, the band later changed their name to Les Ambassadeurs Internationales. This song goes back centuries in Manding music, to the time of the Mali Empire. Les Ambassadeurs recorded their version in 1981, only a few decades after Mali's modern independence. Sidiki is a man today for whom nothing seems to go right. Consequently, he has given up his faith in God and in his own destiny. Salif addresses this unfortunate and tells him to have faith in God, to have patience, to persevere and to be stoic in the face of his misfortune. Queens of the Stone Age is an American hard rock band from Palm Desert, California, United States, formed in 1997. Night Of The Stormrider (1992) Iced Earth's second effort is a concept album with a mystical, horrific story line. It traces the path of a man who is betrayed by religion and turns away from it in anger. The dark forces of nature reach out to this enraged man and use him as their vessel to bring death and destruction to Earth. Through it all, he feels no remorse for his deeds, and upon reaching the end, numbly accepts his fate of eternity in Hell. Musically, the band picked up a new singer and drummer for this album. The singing is a definite improvement from the debut, ranging from a powerful growl to a Halford-like scream. Such skill is necessary to portray the wide range of feeling on this album. There's quite a bit of background keys on this disc, some choral moaning, and a memorable piano outro, which all add to the dark mood. There are also several excellent acoustic passages seamlessly interwoven with the driving guitar riffs. The music meshes perfectly with the story, magnifying the hatred, manic joy, confusion, and sadness present in the lyrics. After listening to this musical masterpiece, one cannot help but to feel some of the sadness and guilt that the Stormrider was unable to feel for himself.
